Appointments and referrals
The initial consultation fee is £150 for all non-insured (self-funding) patients, for the initial examination, diagnosis of the problem and a potential treatment plan. Further treatment costs will be explained in full to all non-insured (self-funding) patients. A fixed price tariff is available as required to all self funding patients. So that you may gauge the cost of treatment and assess the maximum it may cost. Insured patients will, as part of the treatment plan discussed with you, be given the appropriate treatment codes for pre-authorisation by your insurer. Please be aware that medical insurance providers require you to obtain an authorisation code prior to the consultation to gain reimbursement; frequently a standard letter of referral from your GP may be required. You are advised to contact your provider or review your policy for details. Patients may bring the GP letter with them to the initial consultation. All mail can be addressed to Mr David R Cozens Consultant Podiatric Surgeon at the clinical address the patient has been advised is appropriate for their requirements. Medical insuranceMr Cozens is a Consultant Podiatric Surgeon recognised by all of the major medical insurance providers and also is a preferred provider by most medical insurance companies. Mr Cozens is a BUPA Consultant Partner. Non-medically insured (self-funding) patients are treated with all costs quoted and explained at the initial consultation.
